You do not need to purchase Fiberworks software in order to download. However the program needs validation to become fully functional. meanwhile you are free to use it as a demo, with the Save, Save As, Preview and Print and Print Direct functions disabled.

Upgrading from Bronze 4.0 or 4.1

Contact us if upgrading from earlier versions of Bronze to Bronze 4.2 contact us: $20 for web download; $30 for CD to be mailed (no charge if you made a full price purchase after July 1 2009).
We will require your full name, address and your Customer or Registration number.

DOWNLOAD 4.2 BRONZE

Click on the PCW4 Bronze icon.
Proceed with your browser's instruction dialogs.
Click on Save.
The browser will get the setup.exe file and ask you to save it to your Desktop.


Download may take 1 to 10 minutes depending on net traffic and your internet connection.
High speed connection will take less than 1 minute, perhaps 20 seconds.

To install the downloaded program, print these instructions for future reference
Save the downloaded file to CD for safekeeping.

INSTALLATION OF 4.2 BRONZE

•    Click on Br4200setup icon
•    Follow the instructions in the dialogs
•    Click Next at each step
•    When it says Finish, it's done.

Your 4.2 Bronze program is now installed in
C:\Program Files\Fiberworks\PCW Bronze 4200

The shortcut icon will appear on the desktop and also on the start menu.

A shortcut icon for the Bronze manual will also appear on the desktop and start menu.

Sample files are located in My Documents\My Weaving\Samples
A folder for your own designs is in My Documents\My Weaving\My Designs

4.2 BRONZE VALIDATION

This dialog appears when you first open a copy of Fiberworks on a computer where it has not been validated.

This dialog allows you to register and validate a copy of Fiberworks downloaded from the web or installed from a CD. Until the validation code is entered, the program is restricted to demo mode, and won't save, print or weave.

Terms defined

Program ID is a number generated by your computer to identify the specific copy of Fiberworks running on that computer.

Validation code is a number supplied by Fiberworks that unlocks a given program ID. To generate a validation code, your must provide Fiberworks with your program ID, and Fiberworks will translate that into the matching validation code.

Multiple computers: If you own more than one computer, each will give a different program ID, even if they were installed from the same CD. You must submit each program ID to Fiberworks to obtain the corresponding validation codes. Fiberworks will supply you with a reasonable number of validation codes to allow for multiple computers for your own use and for periodic replacement of computers.

New users

If you are a new Fiberworks user, a purchase is necessary to obtain a validation code. The program can be used as a demo until it is validated. In demo mode, Save, Save As, Preview and Print and Print Direct are inactivated.

Registered users

If you are upgrading from an earlier version or lower level program, a purchase is necessary to obtain a validation code. There is no charge if you are reinstalling your current version on a new or repaired computer.

How to get a validation code

You can obtain your registration code by emailing the program ID that appears in the upper box to info@fiberworks-pcw.com. To ensure accuracy in sending the Program ID, select the text in the box, then right click on it and select Copy from the popup menu that appears. Then paste it into your email message (make sure no digits got dropped off in the process).

1. Program ID as described above; if you have more than one computer, we need the program ID from each computer.
2. The level of program you are validating: Bronze, Silver, Silver Plus or Silver Plus with AVL.
3. Your name, address, phone number, email address. We do not disclose this information to anyone else.
4. If you are already a registered user, include your customer number and most recent invoice number. These numbers appear on the right hand side of your invoice, under the Fiberworks logo. They are also written on your CD if you obtained a CD from us.

The codes shown in this figure are for illustration purposes only and won't activate your program. You must obtain your activation code from Fiberworks.

IMPORTANT NOTICE

Fiberworks programs are password protected. Until they are validated, you can use them as a Demo.
The program will open and you may use all the features except
Save, Save As, Print, Preview and Print, and Weave.
